We'd always intended to have some chickens so we snapped up this Hen Haven a couple of weeks ago when we saw it at a heavily reduced price, and today we got its new occupants.
This morning we bought three chickens at Ballinrobe market. Meet snowflake, twilight and hi-fly (yes, Freya chose the names). They are a light sussex, buff sussex and a black rock (respectively). We'd always intended to have some chickens so we snapped up this Hen Haven a couple of weeks ago when we saw it at a heavily reduced price, and today we got its new occupants. In the longer term they will hopefully share the ponies yard, but for now we have plenty of space for a run. I'm looking forward to our first fresh eggs.
