I haven't posted for a while as unfortunately we've all been struck down with the flu. Luckily Freya had it first and is nearly recovered now - just a runny nose and a bit of a cough left. Brian and I are still quite definately unwell. Brian in particular is struggling to fight it off and is in quite a bad way, possibly because he wasn't able to fully rest. Unfortunately some jobs just had to be done (like shifting our delivery from the builders merchant into the sheds). Also, with so much to do, as soon as he felt a bit better he would try to do some easy jobs
One of those easy jobs that we are very glad he did manage to get done was to fine-tune the satellite dish reception. We finally got round to installing the freesat kit (which we bought with us from the UK) about a fortnight ago, but initially only had a couple of channels (though they did include CBeebies, so Freya couldn't see what the problem was). A few well-placed taps with a rubber mallet and some twisting of the LNB and we had the full range of channels just in time for Christmas. This isn't the same as the UK freeview range (sadly no Dave) but there are a few nice extras, for instance I now have Horse and Country TV! Ronny is struggling a little to understand about dogs on TV not actually being in the room, but hopefully he will get used to it soon.
Sadly no traditional Christmas dinner this year due to lack of cooking facilities and preparation areas, but we had plenty of goodies to eat and the animals still got their regular Christmas treats; A big bone for Ronny, and a bottle of Guinness each for Trigger and Sully.
